You are what you are. Accept it.
I'm currently watching Malcom in the Middle and Stevie (Malcom's friend) said, "You are what you are. Accept it." I think that everyone should listen to this. I really do because then I think that the world would be a better place. It sounds cheesy but if everyone was accepted as who they are, then there would be no issue in the world. Be it if someone has downs or if someone has a really bad mental health illness. No-body should be judged for how their brains or bodies function.
If people were more accepting of mental illness, then more people would feel like they belong. This could lessen the amount of people who end up committing suicide because they believe no-one listens to them or accepts them. If everyone just stopped and listened to each other, people would feel so much better.
What really annoys me is when it is clear to see when someone has anxiety or depression but their parents won't take them to the doctors or talk to them about it because they don't believe in mental illness. This is just utterly disgusting and I think that the people who think like this should be put through courses to show them what living with a mental illness is like. This would hopefully change so many minds. Lockdown has had a bad impact on many people's mental state. I think that everyone should ask their friends and family members if they are okay and if they're not, let them know that you are always there to talk to.
Everyone needs someone to talk to.
