Major developments
Two things.
Number one: Yesterday, there was an advert on BBC Four for one of their programs and it had many disabled people telling their stories. One of them said, "I wish that someone in every family had someone who was disabled. So they can witness how tragic and how funny it is." Now I am not disablist (or whatever it is) but this made my blood boil. Why on earth would you wish a disability upon someone else when you have to live with it? So many people struggle with a really life-threatening disability. Who in their right minds would ever wish this on anyone? I don't wish Tourettes on anyone- even people I really hate. Because it is not something that I would do. It was just a plain stupid and nonsensical thing to say. If I ever heard anyone say that, no matter who they were, I'm sorry, but I would just punch them. It is a disgusting and horrible thing to say. I mean, 1 in 4 people are mentally disabled. This is a disability. Just the same as a physical disability. People need to realise that so many people are mentally disabled and it is a registered disability. Anxiety, depression, schizoprenia, even Tourettes are a disability. They can harm your way of life. That statement just made me see red.
Number two: National lockdown. Schools, colleges and unis are not shutting. This makes no sense because the other rules are just the same as they were during the proper lockdown. I know it is better to be at school but is it better to be at school when there is a lot of cases of corona? When corona is spreading like wildfire? I think it isn't. I think that the government- even though it would be hard and probably a lot of idiotic people would start protests- should tell schools and that to close for at least 2 weeks to halt the cases in school. I mean, before half-term, in my sister's primary, 6 out of 8 classes were off. In my school, people in Y8, Y10, Y11, Y12 and Y13 has corona. There is more cases every week. It is all just stupid. I hate it all.
