Support or no support, that is the question!
Today has been a really good day, I had a free period and then R.E and then I went home at dinner. Tomorrow I have English Literature in the morning and History in the afternoon. I can't wait, I'm really excited.
How to not supress tics at school:
- Breathe in and out
- Remember it is no one elses business that you have tics
- Just let them out.
- If people want to stare or say something, tell them where to go.
- And just remember it really is none of their business at all.
- Get some support
At school, I haven't had anyone say anything about my tics, mainly because I don't really do them, but I've never had anything said. Apart from once last year when I did my music exam, he was from the other class (there were two classes) and he asked me, "What on earth is that big scary sigh for?" I didn't answer him. I haven't had much support in school. I had a TA in Maths in Y10 but then that stopped and I would like to feel more supported. It would be lovely. I need to show my tics more in school. That's my resolution but it takes so much to do the big ones when I'm with my friends, let alone in school.
